There you were standing, in the rain alone.
With a melancholy glance at the gray sky, you let out a sigh and thought, ‘What’s the point of being here?”
You shook your head sadly and pulled at your wet clothes. They felt tight, like they were going to suffocate you if you didn’t remove them. “No, there is no point.”
Sinking to the sit on the sidewalk with the rain splattering the ground around you, you let out a cry and burst into tears. “H-He’s not coming. He’s with someone else.”
You put your head in your hands and sobbed quietly.
It was two in the afternoon, and you were solitary and feeling isolated on the side of a French road. What did you expect? This wasn’t the first time he had left you here.
You wiped your eyes and blinked at the mascara left on your hands.
“You’re beautiful without your makeup.” He had said with a wide grin on his face.
“Yeah right. T-That’s why I am here, and your probably with her.” You murmured and pulled your knees up to your chin. Cars were passing by and you could see people staring at you then quickly looking away as they made eye contact with your (e/c) orbs.
“She doesn’t mean a single thing to me anymore.” Francis had caressed your chin and gazed at you with those sparkling blue eyes.
You sniffled and stood slowly. The cold and wet had finally sank into your clothes and frozen you to the bone.
“I’m done waiting..” You said solemnly and turned in the direction of your apartment.
The walk home was depressing. Horrible thoughts kept pushing into your mind and threatened to make your head explode.
Finally, you reached out and turned the metallic handle to the small place you called home.
You removed your coat and threw it on the couch as you strode by. You were in such a despairing state that you neglected to look at you answering machine. Seven unread messages sat there without being opened as you stepped into the shower and let hot water rush over you. Your silent tears were washed away and you realized that you really were worthless. Why else had he ditched you?
“Let’s go out tomorrow, mon amour. I have something important to ask you, but I’m going to wait until then.” He had murmured in your ear as you sat together by the fire at his house.
Stepping out of the shower, and sank to the floor after wrapping a towl around you. You let your wet (h/c) locks fall in your face as you shut your eyes tightly, hoping for the pain in your heart to go away.
Suddenly, you heard a banging on the door to your apartment.
“(Name)?” A strong, French accent came from the man standing on the other side of the door.
You quickly threw on your (f/c) robe and opened the door a crack.
“What is it Francis?” You said quietly through the small opening.
“(Name), I’m sorry that I was late, but-”
“But what?! You left me alone on the side of the road in the rain. Y-You were suppose to pick me up and we… we were suppose to go out… a-and..” You slowly trailed off as your throat tightened.
“Huh? Why do you sound so upset mon amour ? I was still going to come.”
“I-I thought that you were with… her.” You opened the door wider to look him in the face.
“You mean, Amelia?” Shock spread across his face at the mention of his ex-fiancé. “Oh, I’m so sorry (Name)! I thought you knew I was long over her!”
“Yeah well…” You glanced at the ground and crossed your arms tightly.
You felt Francis sweep his arms around you and enclose you in a snug embrace.
“(Name), I wanted to go out with you tonight to prove that I am over her. Even though we aren’t at the restaurant… Well, that doesn’t matter.” He murmured in your ear and let go of you.
You watched him with wide eyes as he kneeled in front of you.
With your apartment door open and you being barely dressed, he asked those words you never thought you would hear today. “Will you marry me?”

"Oh, Francis!" She beamed from ear to ear. "This is so cute! I might just not eat it until my friend shows up to show him!"
Francis smile quickly faded, guy-friend or a gal-friend, coming here? He quickly put on a fake smile. "I am okay if you want to show off my skills but it'd be a shame for it to get cold." He was trying so hard not to twitch, had he waited too long?
"My friend will be here any moment. I will definitely show it off!" She giggled with happiness.
"You've never brought a friend in before. Special occasion?" Francis was trying to keep his cool.
She blushed slightly. "Not really. Just h

François couldn’t quite tell whether it was the icy rain or his hot tears on his cheeks, and, to be perfectly honest, he didn’t care. It didn’t matter anymore. His mind was in a state of shock, one thought running through his head over and over, like a record on loop.
His breath came in short gasps, the air almost like a knife in his chest as he ran. He wasn’t quite sure where he was headed, but as he surfaced from his mental stupor, he began to take in some of the scenery. He was on Arthur’s side of town.
Yes, Arthur would know. Arthur always had a plan. He would go see Arthur.
It was as if his legs had

France x Reader- The Last
You let out a small sigh, snuggling your face deeper into the chest of your boyfriend Francis Bonnefoy. The sun shone brightly on the two of you from the big, glass porch window beside you, the perfect view of the Eiffle Tower sitting before your very eyes. A bird chirped lightly from outside, the black and blue animal perching upon the porch railing.
Everything had seemed perfect.
You loved quiet moments like this. Just laying in bed, covers pulled up to your waste, the love of your life pushed up against your side as his steady, smooth breathing comforted and engulfed your very being. Closing your eyes, a small smirk spread across your li
